Hilliard Davidson-4th Grade Champions

Jonathon Alder-3rd Grade Champions
The Columbus-based C League concluded their inaugural season on Sunday at Fieldhouse USA on the city’s north side. Fortunately, we were able to catch some of the action in the 3rd and 4th grade divisions.
In one of the first games of the day, Hilliard Davidson (20-5) matched up with Hilliard Darby, their cross city rivals, in the 4th grade division championship game. Davidson would jump out to an early lead and never really looked back, and by the time the final horn sounded, Davidson would eventually go on to collect the 17-12 victory. Davidson was powered by a standout performance from Jerimiah Buchner who finished several tough drives to the basket.
In the 3rd grade division championship game, an undefeated Gahanna (14-0) was upset by 12-2 Jonathan Alder by a score of 21-28. Although Gahanna had beaten Jonathon Alder the 2 times they faced each other in the regular season, and led for most of the championship game, Alder simply out executed the Lions late to claim the title. We were super impressed with Kason Garrison who ran the point well, controlled the offense, and led the team in scoring. Congratulations to both teams for an outstanding season.
