As expected, Terry Holt’s T3TV Combine was absolutely jam packed with talent, as more than 500 players from around the country descended the Sports 4 Courts basketball facility in Mason, Ohio. The event kicked off on Friday with one-on-one roll out drills and slam dunk contests. Although the combine featured 1st though high school aged players, we focused our coverage on the younger players, with an extra emphasis on the class of 2032. As we’ve previously reported, Henry and Ashton Jolly are the real deal, and they totally dominated the 1st/2nd grade division. Other 2nd graders that caught our eye included: Chase Williams, Tristian Graham, Penny King, Aydin Garth, Cavalli Glodthreat, Bobby Peebles, Marion “Big Baby” Mathews and Keylon Thomas. Moreover, we recently published our Top 25 2032 Camp Rankings, which highlights the top players at the event in that class.
In addition to watching the youngest division, we got an opportunity to see a few players a little older. One of the best players we saw all weekend was Iziah Gordon (5’6″/WF/2029/Beckley, WV). Gordon is a big kid who is highly skilled and able to play and guard multiple positions. He’s matchup problem because he can eat on the perimeter against smaller players, and he’s too quick and nimble for typical post players. He has a soft touch around the rim, great footwork, and he finishes at a high rate. Every time we’ve see him we’ve been impressed with his game. If he continues to grow, he could play college ball at a high level. Add William Paige (4’7″/CG/2030/Staten Island, NY) to the list of players who we really liked. This kid was a super dynamic, super skilled PG who was a human bucket. He’s a 3-level scorer, he has excellent ball skills, and could not be kept out of the paint. From what we saw, this kid has a chance to be special! Unless you’re watching closely, Rajon Villamor (4’7″/PG/2029/Owensmills, MD) may go unnoticed, but we saw him! He just kept making positive plays and great decisions with the rock. He has an excellent skill set, plays under control, and can create shots for himself or for teammates. The kid was fun to watch!
In terms of upside potential, Rashaun Robinson (5’8″/PG/2029/Toronto, CN) has it. Blessed with good length, athleticism and the ability to finish drives at a high rate, Robinson has a chance to be really good also. Deloni Pughsley (5’1″/PG/2029/Columbus, OH) had another great weekend. For sure, Pughsley is consistently performing at a high rate. Another camp; another all-star game nod for Pughsley! The same thing can be said for William Peagler Jr. (4’6″/PG/2029/Dayton, OH). He just seems to get it; consequently, his stock is on the rise. Below is a more comprehensive list of the players who stood out over the weekend. Congratulations to Tery Holt and his staff for creating a huge platform for players to display their talent.
