Although the competition level may have been a bit under what the’ve faced all spring and summer, the 2032 Buckeye Prep Hoopsters stilled handled their business, finished undefeated, and eventually claimed the 2nd grade title at the Team Teague Invitational in Indianapolis, IN this past weekend. The Hoopsters’ trek to the championship included lopsided wins over Team Teague (40-12), 94 Feet Elite (33-5), and Team Teague for a second time in the championship game (35-5).

In addition to their wins in the 2nd grade division, the Hoopsters faced off against the 3rd grade Kokomo Swish on Saturday, pretty much dominated the game from the tip, and ultimately getting the (39-17) win. The Hoopsters once again relied on smothering defense, excellent ball movement and balanced scoring from Jase Owens, David Johnson III, Jordan Taylor, and Tony Jones Jr. Next up for Buckeye Prep is the JR. Pro Circuit in Cincinnati, OH in July.
